Objective methods of lameness evaluation have significantly improved practitioners ability to consistently evaluate lameness which should improve our ability to address the lameness issues of our equine patients. Highlights of this meeting include a demonstration of these methods using a wireless, real-time lameness evaluation system. The “Lameness Locator” system lab will allow audience participation to recognize the subjective vs. objective evaluation of lameness in horses. Additional labs will include multiple videos of various lameness to demonstrate how kinematic gait analysis can help the equine practitioner improve his.her ability to identify and diagnose difficult lameness.
